Prescott

I realized I never posted photos from Prescott a couple weekends ago...so fun. We can't wait to spend time there this summer. The girls were having fun taking photos until people started to watch and talk to them. It made Gianna a little sad, but after they left, she was happy again. Love my girlies!

Watch what I say

So, if I write anything not 6 year old appropriate, please let me know. haha
Jadyn reads my blog and then yells at me about what I share. I keep waiting for her to find a post that is not for her to read, so for now on I have to watch what I say.
Here is a photo from our Prescott trip. We will be there a lot this summer....it is getting hot! Love my big girl even if she can read too well. :)

My two big girls

Gianna got her big girl bed today...last moments in her crib...photos of the bed soon...it was too late for photos after it was all put together.
Jadyn had her class party and said good bye to Kindergarten today. She has a half day tomorrow and then it is summer break...off to San Diego!

Field day, water day, programs, Oh my!

Last week was filled with end of year programs and Friday was field day AND water day. Basically, I was there from 8:30-3:00 doing those activities, then girl scouts after til 4:30. Fun day! Jadyn is going to be a Daisy next year and I got talked into being troop leader. We will see how this goes since I was never in Girls Scouts as a kid. Luckily I learn fast. Wish me luck!

Crazy!

I have been feeling a bit crazy the last couple weeks...this time of year is always bittersweet. Love that Jadyn will be out of school soon, but it creates craziness with the end of year stuff, parties to plan, photos to take, edit, create slide shows, get teacher gifts, etc.
Today was a good day even after staying up way too late to edit photos for eager parents. Got the rest of my photos edited, all the photos for the slide show done too, created the slide show, burned copies for the class, arranged the final details on the party Wed., teacher gifts, got supplies to feed Jadyn's class for camping day tomorrow (well, David did the shopping and grilling of hot dogs...thanks for that!)
balled up watermelon, packed buns, smores stuff, chips, and condiments for their little camp out, ordered the teacher a 34 page book, got the stuff ready for Jadyn's party Wed. (Ice cream sundae luau!) So fun! Cried my eyes out watching the DVD slide show to make sure it burned....hmmm what else? I guess just the normal things that happed daily like yell at Izzy for chewing up stuff, for eating off the table before I can get there to take the kids plates, & for dragging Maddy by her face.
Feed butterflies, hope they lay eggs soon since Jadyn wants to see the WHOLE life cycle...lol. Feed chirp, feed hampy, feed dogs, feed Gianna, clean up, attempt to do laundry, pick up toys, turn around and see more toys to pick up, pick up Jadyn and Sam, drop Sam home, try to cook dinner, kids want Johnny Rockets instead, I give in happily, feed kids, bathe kids, kids to bed, clean up, pack bags for tomorrow, have a second to blog...colapse in a few hours and sleep to wake up and enjoy doing it all over again! Love my life...never a dull second :)
PS...Gianna wanted to wear this hat and get her photo taken so I had to post it...lol.

Gianna's new bed

Her bed is finally ordered and will be here soon. It took a lot of looking to find the right one...she really wanted the bed with a slide, but we couldn't spend $1500 on a bed that didn't look very sturdy. I was afraid I would climb up there to snuggle her and break it...lol. This one is very big girl and it made me sad to think this is the last step to clearing our house of anything baby. I may cry taking down her crib...lol.

Funny girl

Gianna had me laughing so hard tonight. My little night owl hates to go to bed, so I found her under the desk with Maddy hiding, then I told her we could cuddle a minute and talk to help her get ready for bed. First, she tells me she wants a baby in my tummy. I say...I think we are good on babies. She said, no I want two in there and I will name them You and Me. ok... Then she said daddy has big cheeks and that means he had dinner. haha-David loved that one. The last thing before making her go to bed was she was feeling her eyelashes and says her lashes are so long. I say, yep they are really pretty. She replies, no I better get my scissors to cut them before they get any longer. Insert me running to hide all scissors... haha! Yesterday we had the same problem getting her to bed and she asked if I had just taken a shower...I said yes. She goes...good your feet are clean, you can get in my bed to snuggle me. Snuggling her she looks at me and asks why she has hair like daddy...I said it is just how you are and black hair is so pretty. She says, no it is not...I want yellow hair like you...lol! Nice. I love that girl.

Cousins

The girls (and I) have been in heaven with the kids around...cousins are the best! I am so sad they leave tomorrow...I so wish they lived here! Sky is almost 16, River is almost 13, Lila is 3 and Amelia is 1. Love these kids!

Happy Mother's Day!

Yesterday I headed the Phx. Zoo to take photos of the foster families of AZ Children's Association. 10,000 kids in foster care...blows my mind. I think 500 people attended the event...the kids were so sweet and adorable...the families were so loving to each other...made me appreciate my girls even more that I did before. I can't imagine my life without them! There were 2 twin 6 month olds and it broke my heart to think someone had them taken away for whatever reason, but the family that has them is amazing. It was so awesome to see the families and how big their hearts were to have love for all the kids they were able to be a family for. One person has had 184 kids through her home...it was great trying not to cry through all stories while taking photos...lol. It was a inspirational day there and then the girls let me take photos when I got home...they were pretty excited over the soda bottles.
Today I get to have my family and David's family here to celebrate (including his sister and her kids!) So excited! I hope everyone has a fabulous Mother's Day! xoxo
