San Diego

Deck of naval ship

Feeding the dolphins

Farmer's Market

Spring Break was spent in San Diego. We really did not want to come home. We got to see lots of friends there, go to Sea World, have a bonfire, and relax on the beach. I am ready to go back :)
All my favorite photos posted were taken with my p&s...RIP little camera. Gianna was in charge of taking photos with it at the dolphin show and I can't get it to turn on now...boo! :(
My favorite moments were taking a tour a a naval ship that holds 300 sailors (our troop donated cases of cookies to them), feeding dolphins, the farmers market (check out the stashes on these kids...lol) and the sunset bonfire.

Been busy....

Well, too busy actually! I miss my friends and vacation has made me off track all week :/ There are only a few weeks left of Jadyn being in school and then it is SUMMER BREAK. I am a bit excited! So many good things planned for the summer. For now, this week and next is full of fundraisers, classroom duties, girl scout field trips and meetings, and photoshoots. Life is good ;)
I will catch up soon...lots of photos to share. Also, Jadyn said she wanted a job, so after a long interview process...I hired her. She said she is ready to take on sessions of her own and photoshop the photos. Lots of pictures to share on that later...love that girl! xo
PS...if anyone wants to donate to a 5th grade girl that attends Jadyn's school battling cancer, let me know. Her family is struggling to pay all the medical bills and we are trying to raise as much money as possible to allow her mom to be home with her during this crazy time. Any prayers and good thoughts would be great too....such a sweet girl and family...cancer sucks!
Check out her carepage for the whole story...you have to enter your email address and log in to view, but it gives a good idea of what the poor girl and family have been enduring. xo

Girl Scouts

Being the girl scout leader this year has been so fun! It takes a lot, did I say A LOT of time, but so worth it. We have done so many fun things and the rest of the year will only get better...camping on campus, Petsmart field trip, scavanger hunt in Prescott, planting daisies (we hope they grow...lol) and earning the last three parts to their journey patch. I have learned that 18 girls is a number I do not want to exceed, that we have some super parents that support all of our outings, that first graders are easy to make happy, that they really like snacks and more snacks, and that eventhough I was never a girlscout I can do a pretty good job leading these girls. ;)
Yesterday we had 3 firefighters come talk to the girls. They were funny and the girls loved them of course. They got to get inside their truck and that made the girls so happy! We were interested to learn that 80% of their job is not putting out fires. They get lots of fun things to do...lol.
Also, we had a mom make a cake to celebrate girl scouts b-day this month. So pretty!
After the meeting, we headed to Peter Piper to meet our sister troop for pizza and more cake to celebrate. They have a cool program where the kids can make their own pizza and get a patch/certificate for completing a pizza maker class. Great time!
I feel so lucky to be able to be there for all of this! :)

Whoville hair

Today was Whoville hair day again at Jadyn's school. I had about 5 minutes to get her hair done...lol. We were on time, but of course the one day David is not here to take Jadyn to school, Gianna sleeps in. Dead asleep, like shaking her awake and her not moving. With the loft bed, I cannot pick her up out of bed for fear of falling down the ladder with her. lol
She finally woke up just in time to get Jadyn to school with 3 minutes to spare!
Then I got to go take Gianna to her new school to meet up with David at 8:30am since he had been there since 12:45am....yes, he waited in the cold all night to make sure he was first in line to get one of the 5 spots left for Gianna's age group at the pre-school. They gave him a free shirt too...lol! He does love his girls and we hope Gianna will love the school since this will be her only pre-k time before Kindergarten. They grow up too fast!
Thanks David for staying up all night to get her a spot! Love you (ok, he won't read this, but at least I am putting it out there) haha
